Hi Unique,
we all want it – the perfect, white toothpaste smile from the ads. But with all our coffee and tea consumption, it’s anything but easy to get shiny white teeth. Tooth whitening strips, bleaching and various toothpastes – all pure chemistry. Because what else should it be? A visible effect is often promised after the first application!
That’s how my first blog post about Charwhite started almost 2 months ago.
Charwhite was my last attempt to get whiter teeth in a natural way. Due to my teeth, strong chemical products are out of the question and so I searched for a natural method for a long time. But so far the motto “More is better ” seems to be valid and so I didn’t find anything.
Opposites attract each other
Then the activated carbon hype came up and I asked myself: Black toothpaste for white teeth? Could this even help me? But why not, it’s worth a try.
At first, the idea of getting your teeth “dirty” and having whiter teeth afterwards is somewhat absurd. But activated carbon is one of the Beauty Trends 2017 – whether as black toothpaste, as a drink or as a mask, we love activated carbon.
So I have tested Charwhite Cosmetics toothpaste for 2 months and today comes the day of truth: Did the black toothpaste really help or is it all just about making money?

Clear the stage for my before and after comparison
Before / after picture
As you can see, there has actually been a small change. Okay, I’m a bit tanned, because I just got out of my vacation;) But also the teeth look whiter and that, although I didn’t use the active carbon toothpaste every day. 😉
So I am fully satisfied with my result. I love the result. It clearly takes longer to see an effect, of course. But I’d rather take my time and don’t hurt my teeth. 😉
But how did I come to this conclusion? How did I use the activated carbon toothpaste?
5 questions you need to answer before using it
How often do I need to use activated carbon toothpaste?
I wanted to feel my way step by step and so I used the black toothpaste 1-2 times a week or before special events. Even if a long-term effect only shows up after several weeks, I had the feeling that a shinier smile is conjured up even in the short term. Imagination or reality? I don’t know – but I definitely felt more comfortable and that’s the main thing 😉
Why black toothpaste?
Yeah, why does toothpaste have to be black? Can’t it just be the normal white one? Of course, you can also use a normal whitening toothpaste, but I have to say, it didn’t help me. The mouth feels clean afterwards and the teeth are smoother, but really whiter? Unfortunately no….
So just give it a try and dont’ be afraid to be dirty 😀
Does activated carbon toothpaste make a lot of dirt?
Yes, Charwhite’s charcoal powder is anything but clean , but as long as you don’t wear your new favorite white blouse when brushing your teeth, everything is fine. Of course, the powder won’t stay in you cloth, but it’s safer!
Besides, you should only put on make-up after brushing your teeth 😀 Except, you like the Amazons look and love to scare people.
How does black toothpaste taste?
Toothpaste is not only important for the effect, but also for the taste. Don’t worry, the powder tastes neither of dirt nor earth, but simply of – nothing at all. If you want a fresh breath, it’s best to clean it with another toothpaste afterwards. Double keeps better anyway 😉
Does activated carbon toothpaste damage teeth?
No! I’ve discussed this thoroughly with my dentist before and he said it’s no problem. A little tip: Rub the toothpaste between your fingers. If it feels like an scrub, the toothpaste is too coarse to the teeth. If it feels comfortable, then everything’s fine.
Shh! Here you can find a video about the application.
