Hi Unique,
there is hardly any other topic that is as emotional and sensitive for all women as the hairdresser’s visit. Often enough, one is absolutely desperate after the visit, because although only the tips should be cut, at least 5 cm are missing. Okay, maybe only 4 cm, but definitely way too much!
Discontented, one leaves the hairdresser’s salon and that’s it. You’d rather walk around with a cap and not show the “cut” hair to anyone.
Well, that’s what it looks like, the horror idea… and so I was a bit scared when I went to j7 Munich last week for the first time. I wanted something new, exciting – but wanting to and putting it into practice are two pairs of shoes.
Hair styling at j7 Munich
So here I am standing in front of the salon, with wet hands and still wondering if I really want to change something? Should I really cut something off and change my hair color or should I stick to the standard “only cut the tips.
When I finally enter the salon, I am welcomed warmly and guided to my place. Slowly my nervousness disappears and when I get a delicious tea and a warm, fragrant towel, relaxation replaces my nervousness for the first time. Relaxation at the hairdresser’s? I can hardly believe it myself! I usually sit on hot coals and can’t wait to see the result.
j7 Munich – More than just trust
Well, but that wasn’t it, because in j7 Munich not only hair is cut and dyed, no, every visitor is spoiled and cared for here.
So while I’m sipping my tea, I fill in a short questionnaire about myself and my wishes. How long do I wear this hairstyle, what do I visualize and how do I want to be styled afterwards? As soon as I’m finished Felix, my stylist for today, comes along and discusses all my wishes with me. He responds to me, listens patiently and gives me tips on what might be done differently or better. Suddenly we are a “team” – he and I – and I immediately feel really comfortable. But before it really starts, there is a welcome massage and I trust Felix completely. Trust? A hairdresser? Well, what can I say, the massage was just fine: D
Snip, snap hair down
After the cut, the colour follows, and although I’ve been in the salon for almost 2 hours now, I still feel good. Hot coals? Certainly not in these comfortable armchairs!
Several luxurious hair treatments and a further massage later I am ready. Now it’s time for styling… and slowly it comes back, the feeling to be on tenterhook.
Felix styles my hair and the drier my hair gets, the more I love my new style. No sign of despair and discontent. I leave the salon enthusiastically and am looking forward to my appointment next week.
Hair compacting with the Hairdreams Quikkies
A week later I’m standing in front of the j7 Salon in Munich’s Old Town – this time without wet hands. Instead of nervousness, anticipation is spreading, because today my girl’s dream of full hair should finally come true! I mean, which woman with thin hair wouldn’t want a mane? So I look forward to entering the salon. After a tasty welcome tea and a short massage, I’m ready to go:
Step 1: Wash your hair with the Hairdreams shampoo and conditioner first. After approx. 5 minutes of soaking time, rinse everything out again.
Step 2: Now blow-dry the hair and straighten it briefly. This way, the Quikkies can be used more effectively.
Step 3: After the upper part of the hair has been divided, the Quikkies are inserted. Each Quikkie consists of two parts – an upper and a lower part. The protective foil is removed from the lower part. Then it is placed under the strand of hair. As soon as everything fits correctly, the top part is placed on top of the hair strand. Like hook-and-loop fastener, the two parts now cling firmly to each other without damaging your own hair.
Step 4: Since the Quikkies do not always correspond to 100% of your own hair length, the tips are smoothed and trimmed. Ready!
So I think the Quikkies really have earned their name, because the use of it takes only 30 minutes. :O
Every 6-8 weeks you have to go to the hairdresser’s to have the Quikkies lifted. This can be done 2-3 times and only then new extensions have to be used!
How I get along with the Quikkies of Hairdreams now, I will report again and again on Instagram 😉
Care tips for the Hairdreams Quikkies Extensions
Now I finally have a lot of hair – but how do I take care of my extensions to keep them as long as possible. I asked questions and got these three tips:
1. Brushing and combing
At first I was afraid that I would now always pull on the extensions when I was brushing my hair. Hairdreams has taken precautions and developed a special brush. However, you should still hold your hair at the hairline while brushing. Safe is safe!
2. Washing and care
Well, after brushing the next big questions follow: Can I use every shampoo and how exactly do I wash and care for the Hairdreams Quikkies? Hairdreams has developed special products for this purpose. Of course, you can also use any other high quality product. However, warranty problems may occur later in the event of possible complaints.
3. Drying and blow-drying
From now on, the hair is no longer rubbed dry, as this can lead to entanglemend.Instead, you should press the hair dry. Afterwards, it is best to apply a spray that makes the hair easier to comb and protects against heat. When blow-drying, you should always blow-dry the hair on the scalp first and then blow-dry the tips. You can find more tips on how to use the hairdryer here.
Extra tip: In order to be able to put the Hairdreams Quikkies 2 to 3 times higher, you should weave your hair overnight to a loose braid. This way you avoid entanglement. 😉
