It is the day of love – Valentine’s Day. Many consider it to be unnecessary, many claim that the trade had only invented this day to sell more and others again love and live this day.
Invention or romantic tradition?
Valentine’s Day is named after Saint Valentine. But why? Saint Valentine gave flowers from his garden to lovers and concluded marriages. The latter, however, was not without risc, since church weddings were forbidden by the Emperor at this time. Well, and because he went on anyway, he was ultimately killed.
Actually not such a romantic story, right? Whether it really happened this way, nobody knows for sure.
It was only bit by bit that Valentine’s Day became the day of the lovers. Worshipers confessed their secret love, couples showed their love especially.
Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day or not … actually it does not matter, because who does not like to spend a day with the dearest?

For me, Valentine’s Day means not only showing his partner one’s love but also other people who are close to you, for example, one’s family or friends.
What to do on Valentine’s Day?

Small gifts
The typical Valentine’s Day gift is probably roses for the women and chocolates for the men. But why not just give something special? Here are 5 Last Minute gifts.
1) Flowers – the classic
Yes, flowers still belong to it. Which woman does not appreciate a beautiful bouquet of flowers. But how would it be instead of giving a single bouquet equal to 12? Just have a flower subscription. So you can make your loved one every month a joy again. Because Valentine’s Day is a good occasion, but as well is every other day of the year.

A photo book, a collage or maybe a movie are probably the most personal gifts one can make. It takes a lot of love and time to choose the right pictures. That is why your loved ones will be incredibly happy about it. This gift is not quite so last minute, but you can definitely still make it;)

Chocolates are as mentioned above, of course, an absolute classic – but just bought and not self made! Instead of buying chocolates, you can also make your own. 5) Love messages – the creative
Just write 10 things you like most about your sweetheart. Buy a small book and write a reason on each page. Most books, of course, have much more pages, so you can either stick pictures between you or paint the pages beautifully or decorate them.
The Date
For me, time is the best gift ever, because togetherness is often lost in everyday life. Every evening you watch TV together, but is this really romantic togetherness?
So that your date won’t be a boring trip to the movies,I have some cool tips, how you can surprise your loved ones properly.
1) Make a journey of thought – the dreamer
You want to give your loved one the world? No problem! Just plan a trip together. Just turn the globe and stop it with your eyes closed and off you go. This date is perfect to get to know each other better, because you will quickly find out what the other likes best, what not so much and what his real dreams are. And who knows, perhaps you will make your dream journey come true somehow, P
2) Explore the city at night – the sport
It is already dark and the whole city shines. Especially at night every city has great and romantic places. Show off your favorite places and enjoy your stay in the fast moving city. This date is probably only for more active ones, because a lot of walking definitely belongs to it. This might be a problem for high heels girls;)
3) Sing something – the funny
Of course, you should not only sing, but also your darling. How about a karaoke bar? This is definitely a funny date where you can laugh not only about yourself, but also about many others. Fun guaranteed. It does not get boring here;)
4) Get to know you again – the crazy type
This date idea may sound really weird at the first moment, but believe me it is totally funny. Especially for couples who have been together for a long time, it is sometimes difficult to get a bit of tingling into the relationship again. This date is perfect for it;)
Arrange a meeting in a bar and act as if you do not know each other. So it’s like you get to know each other anew. Is this too boring? Try to break up with bad pick-up lines – not whispered but loud. The irritated looks of the others will definitely make you laugh.
5) Choose by lot – the creative
You have many ideas and cannot decide? Then write everything on small lots and let your loved one pick a date for Valentine’s Day . The rest of the ideas you just keep, so you can always pick it. As mentioned above the Valentine’s Day is a good occasion, but that is also every other day of the year;)
