Hi Uniques,
Confidence is preached again and again, but never being told how to be self-confident. I used to be shy, reserved and in front of strangers rather quiet. Over the years I became more confident and I have to say, especially blogging has once helped me again.
Today I have 8 tips on how you can be more self-confidence.
5 tips for your head
1) Errors have no shame
Perfection is not the goal. Since I’m a perfectionist, I always get very annoyed about my mistakes, but failing is human. It would be really funny if not to say scary when you do not make any mistakes. The important thing is just that you learn from the mistakes.
However, part of this point is also to accept the own errors. You are just right as you are – with all your quirks and errors. You have to repeat for yourself again and again that you’re great, despite these properties, appearances, or other things. Of course you can work on certain properties.
2) authenticity occurs before Confidence
Before you are playing a confident person that you aren’t, you should prefer to stay true to yourself. It might take longer to be confident, but you are yourself. Constantl playing a role is tiring in the long run and will break up at some point.
3) Without weaknesses no strengths
Sit down and write both, your weaknesses and your strengths. If you really can’t imagine any strength or weakness, ask your friends and family. Try to focus up your strengths.
4) Kindness is not reserved for others
Among others we are polite, friendly and courteous, but to ourselves we are often careless. Praise yourself sometimes for a success, and if it’s just a delicious meal. We bolster our friends up when they are on the ground – and so we should also bolster ourselves up. Treat yourself like one of your good friends.
5) patience
Self-confidence does not come overnight. Give yourself time and make small steps.
3 tips for your body
1) Attitude
Through our attitude we show our mood. A person who is walking upright and with a straight back looks much more confident than someone who is walking hunched and huddled. I’m often walking a little bit humby, but as soon as I notice that I’m trying straighten up. It is rather exhausting at the beginning, but is getting better with time.
2) Voice
A loud, clear voice does act more confident compared to a whisper. You can practice that in front of the mirror and converge gradually to a good volume. When speaking before the mirror, you may feel odd first, but so you can also gain more confidence.
3) Clothing
Yes even clothes can make us self-conscious. Clear out your wardrobe with a friend and try new combinations. Be true to yourself and sort out things you never wore anyway, or things that just do not look good. The more comfortable you are in the clothes feel the more confident you appear to others.
The dress I wear is from Shein, which is a quite cheap onlineshop. As you can see beautiful cloth don’t need to be expensive. 😉
You can buy this dress here and as you can see the price is awesomely cheap :O. This onlineshop has so much to offer that I’m sure that you’ll find some new cloth after clearing out your wardrobe.
I hope this 8 tips will help you to be more confident. Maybe you’re already totally confident and have more tips for others?
