Hi Unique,
two weeks ago we were in Paris and it was absolutely fantastic! I’ve been there a few times before, but I’ve never visited the city of love in autumn. But let’s start all over again.
It is Thursday morning and although it is only 5 o’clock, I am already wide awake. Quickly I jump out of bed, pack the last things and then I’m off to the airport. Paris we come!
The flight is super pleasant and so slowly the anticipation increases more and more. From the airport we go directly to the metro and the hotel. When we get out of the metro and finally see something of the city for the first time, we can hardly wait to go and explore Paris. But first we should be astonished about something completely different 😉
Only 5 minutes away from the metro and right next to the Palais de la Porte Dorée is our hotel: The Motel One. Already from the outside it looks super modern and chic. But when we enter the lobby, we are flashed! Wow, this hotel is really stylish! Next to the reception there is a bar and a lounge with a mix of different comfortable armchairs and a crackling fire screen. The mix doesn’t look thrown together, but cosy and extravagant at the same time. The whole look is rounded off by different plants and lamps. Yes, here the Parisian flair is met just perfect.
After a quick check-in we can go directly to our room on the 7th floor 😉 Also the room unites the perfect mixture of modern and special, just typical Paris! Although the room is relatively small, it looks spacious due to the layout – perfect for a weekend trip 😉
As much as we want to see Paris: Our stomachs growl. So first we go to the breakfast buffet, which is right next to the lounge. Besides croissants and various pastries, there is also a large selection of sausages, cheese, muesli and fruits. Simply delicious and that in connection with the flair of a Parisian street cafe – you can hardly start the day better 😉
Strengthened and full of anticipation we now start towards Paris. We walk through the streets, visit the Eifel Tower, but also Notre Dame and the Louvre. By the way, here the entrance is free for all under 26 😉 Although it is already relatively cold, the day is simply fantastic. Compared to my visits in summer, there are considerably less tourists and so we can have a look at everything in peace.
Full of new impressions we return tired to our Motel One in the evening and fall into the soft beds to dream ourselves into Disneyland. 😉
Have you ever been to Paris and if so, where did you spend the night?
