Hi Unique,
every time you come from the barbershop, you just look great. The hair shines silky and falls over your shoulders in gentle waves. The hairstyle is in place all day long. But already after the next shower there is the big disappointment. Dull hait instead of voluminous curling mane. Crap!
This may be due to these hairstyling mistakes. Bet that you you’ve done at least one of them before?
The 5 hairstyles – sins incl. 5 professional tips
Every day we wash, blow-dry, straighten and brush our hair. Then there are the strains of hairspray, mousse and hair ties. That’s a lot of what your hair has to endure every day.
So your hair always looks as if you just came from the hairdresser, there are some things to consider;)
1. protect yourself
You think heat protection sprays are unnecessary and a waste of money? Wrong! Although your hair is basically dead material, protection is important. Also, if you only want to blow-dry your hair for a short time, you should use a spray.
Tip: Put the spray into your hair before brushing. This makes it easier to comb the hair and the spray spreads better all over the hair. So you have a good side effect besides the heat protection.
2. rely on quality
It doesn’t really matter which blow-dryer you use, does it? It is only some warm air. What’s the difference, except for the price? So you’d rather use a cheap hairdryer than an expensive one. Unfortunately wrong! From hairdryers without temperature regulation to age-old models that don’t even have air regulation, can be found in Germany’s bathrooms.
If you want your hair to look like after your hairdresser visit, you definitely need a high-quality hairdryer.
Tip: When buying, pay attention to a temperature controller and an air regulator. High-quality hair dryers usually still contain different attachments. If you pay attention to these three points, you can’t go wrong – and maybe you’ll even find a real bargain.
Shh! If you want a little extra feature, get an ion hairdryer. This prevents flying hair. 😉
3. stay cool
Quick, quick, quick. Everything has to be done quickly, and that’s how you also dry you hair. So you blow-dry on the hottest level. The wet hair is hot blow-dried at full speed and of course it is dry in no time. Perfect! Yes, this is great at first, but in the long run you can permanently damage your hair with such actions – despite the heat protection spray. So if you don’t want a pinhead, take it slow.
Tip: The wetter the hair, the more sensitive it is. Dry your hair with your towel first. Press the towel against your hair – please don’t scratch it! Then start to blow-dry with cold air and slowly switch up 😉
4. care for variety
Why does your hair dryer need this temperature regulator? Actually, you always set only one temperature anyway and that’s it. That’s all right, of course, isn’t it? Only the silky sheen doesn’t appear.
Tip: As already described above, you should dry your hair with cold air until it is almost dry. Then the warm air comes to style the hair. So blow dry your hair with warm air over a round brush to curl it or over a paddle brush to straighten it until they are completely dry. Attention! Don’t take the round brush or paddlebrush out yet. Instead, you’re going to blow-dry again with cold air. This seals your hair and provides the perfect silky finish.
5. brush yourself
You have exactly one brush at home and that’s it?! Okay, there’s the Tangle Teezer for the handbag, but why would you need a brush selection?
You always blow-dry your hair without a hairbrush anyway and to comb your hair, you just need one hairbrush.
Yes… unfortunately, the next hairstyling sin is already here: You need another hairbrush to blow-dry. The best way to do this is to use a round brush to blow dry curls and waves into your hair or a paddle brush to create smooth, straight hair.
Tip: Make sure the brush size matches your hair length. The longer the hair, the bigger the brush.
Are you a hairstyling sinner as well?
Well, was I right? Have you already committed at least one of these sins? I also used to blow dry my hair on the highest level without any protection. Dry hair and hair loss were the consequence. So I searched and googled. Since these tips helped me a lot, I wanted to share them with you.
Do you know a hairstyling sinner? Then just share this post with him or her;)
