My experience report from the Berlin Fashion Week 2017

Exactly one week ago I told you about my plans for the Fashion Week 2017 and also gave the one or the other clue how to get at all on shows, events and after show parties.

Well, just a week later I sit here and write about all my experiences, which I made on my very first Fashion Week. Caution, this post contains besides all my real enthusiasm also one or the other ironic statement 😉

Fashion Week 2017 – Welcome to the Fashion Circus

Fashion Week Stress starts already days before the actual fashion week. After all, many outfits want to be carefully planned and combined. Especially before my first fashion week, I have of course given quite a lot of thoughts to my outfits, because who wants to be completely underdressed at a show or at an event? So go with the crazy stuff!

Concerning the outfits I expected a lot, but certainly not that. Despite all my efforts, I was dressed quite normal in comparison to many others. One outfit was fancier than the other. There was so much to see that I did not know where to look first. Just unbelievable!

But do not forget, ultimately one thing counts above all: You have to feel good. If you pluck constantly and feel uncomfortable this will be noticed by the fashion professionals immediately. If you wear your outfit full of self-confidence, it looks much cooler right away. 😉

Hello Fashion Week 2017

Day 1 of Fashion Week 2017

Luckily the week starts on Monday with just one appointment in the evening – the Hashmag Blogger Award ceremony. So I could settle down in Berlin, had time to find my way around and to enjoy my wonderful Hotel The Yard.

Already in the afternoon I arrive at the hotel, unpack my belongings and sort my outfits. What stress do all the others always talk about? Everything is still easy. Just grab a taxi and off to the hotel. Then a bit of unpacking here, a bit styling there. Stress? Certainly not!

I don‘t know what I expected, but definitely something different. Thanks to our punctuality, we were the first ones at the award event and celebrating party people were nowhere to see so far. 😉

Two hours later, the award ceremony moderated by Ricardo Simonettie, starts already and lasts for altogether 30 minutes. Wow! : D

After that, everyone is supposed to celebrate with “groovy beats”, but after only five minutes we are the only ones on the dance floor. So much for an incredible after show party. 😉

After this, as I must admit small disappointment, I definitely start with lower expectations into day two of Fashion Week 2017.

Day 2 of Fashion Week 2017

Day two starts with a real highlight: my first fashion show at Fashion Week 2017 and also in the very heart of the fashion week, the department store Jandorf. Wow! My anticipation was just huge!

But soon this joy should turn into stress. Relaxed we start our ride to the department store Jandorf. According to maps, perfect in time, but our missing sense of direction and a faulty display make us a dash through the bill. We got lost completely. As soon as we figured out the right way, we started to run to get to the show as soon as possible. Because  we all always wear super comfortable shoes, which by the way also look great, the whole running is of course no problem. Yeah, all right! Now honestly between us, you can not speak of comfortably here. Hello blisters

But all the stress has paid off. Already the place in front of the department store Jandorf is absolutely worth seeing. The various styles and types are hanging out here and hope to be discovered by a photographer. Who knows, maybe you will be featured in the next issue of a magazine. 😉

Also inside, the department store is just great. Yes, it is almost like entering a different world. When the show finally starts, I’m totally smitten. The dresses are beautiful, the music is intoxicating and the staging is creative. Between 10 Instastories and 200 pictures I could enjoy the show even a few minutes in peace. 😀

After the show, we go to the Fashion Blogger Cafe by Styleranking. In addition to delicious food and cool drinks, there are also interesting lectures and many interesting new blogger aquaintances. According to the motto: “To see and be seen” is a lot of networking going on.

Since only two events for a day of course are not enough, in the evening we visit the Reichertplus Beautylounge. 😀 Here it is again networking all over, however, rather with companies than among between other blogger.

Full of new impressions, still excited and with aching feet I fall into my bed at night.

Day 3 of Fashion Week 2017

Fashion Week 2017 reaches its peak on Day Three. From my initial stress misunderstanding will not be much left at the end of this day. However, I speak here of absolutely positive stress. 🙂

The day begins with the Instyle Brunch and the Instyle Lounge. In addition to great brands, such as Dyson, Mac and Esprit, there is incredibly delicious food and many great personalities to see. I mean, when do you have the opportunity to talk to Milenalesecret or Aylin König. Yes, here the fan in me is taking over. 😉

Packed with goodies it goes again to the department store Jandorf to he show of Rebekka Ruetz and Maisonnoee. You already know what’s coming: 20 Instagram stories, 400 pictures later and a few minutes of fascination, both shows are already over again.

A show actually only takes between 15-25 minutes. Very short for this huge effort! Nevertheless, I am absolutely enthusiastic, because everything is so perfect. From hairstyling to make-up to nails, everything is tailored to the fashion and needs of the designers. Madness!

At Maisonnoee, by the way  I get to know Melina from GNTM and see Celine, Fata, Romina and many GNTM participants more on the catwalk.

After Maissonnoee we have only 20 minutes to the show start of Marcel Ostertag. However, this show does not take place in the department store Jandorf and so we run to get a taxi and hurry to Marcel. Okay I admit it, I’ve felt a bit like a star: D

I think I do not have to say: the show was just about the limit! Simply WOW!

Day 4 of Fashion Week 2017

Meanwhile, I wake up with hurting feet full of blisters – mega glamorous … I know 😉

But that’s the way it is. This day will be more relaxed because after an informative talk about SEO and advertising law at Hashtaglove, I watch the last show of the Fashion Week 2017 at the department store Jandorf: Steinrohner. An all around experience, because the show is supported by special fragrances and floral arrangements. What show could complete the fashion week better?

Last but not least we visit the last side event, the blogger lounge of Hashmag.

One last time you talk and gossip and the week is already over again.

Fashion Week 2017 – the bottom line

Wow, quite a long text. But there is simply so much to tell. I’ve experienced a dazzling array, met nice people and watched stunning and fancy looks, then the shows, the great MakeUps, guys, styles, delicious not to forget, and, and, and – fashion overload.

In the end, the Fashion Week was different from what I imagined. Better? I do not know myself. Definitely exhausting. But also gorgeous and very interesting.

What would I do differently next time? Actually nothing, except to tape my feet from the beginning. 😀

All in all, Fashion Week 2017 was a highlight for me. Despite all the effort, the blisters and the stress, I have experienced and seen so much. I am just grateful that I was able to witness all this first hand.
