Hi Uniques,
Now the time has come, the autumn is here. Although the calendar says it is fall for quite a time, it feels like it has only begun this week. It’s raining, it’s windy and now and then some sun rays get through, which put the beautifully colored leaves in scene. Even if I don’t like the autumnal temperatures that much, I love all the colorful trees.
Besides all the colors, I also love most of all – my trench coat.
It is timeless, classic and a must-have for any wardrobe.
Where does the trench coat come from?
The most famous trench coats are made by Burberry, because here is also the origin. In 1897 Thomas Burberry developed the fabric of trench coats. This should be water-resistant and breathable.
Burberry now fits up researchers working in extreme conditions with its coats. But soon the military recognized the benefits of the new coats. So it happens that Burberry supplied the military in World War I with coats. Only through this cooperation the trench coat, as we know it today was born.
The epaulets serve as the attachment to show the rank. The name trench coat arises only, because “trench” is the place where the military hided.
The trench coat today
Today the trench coat is a must-have for quite a long time, that can be worn every year. Therefore, you can afford to buy a bit more expensive one. Of course, you don’t have to buy a Burberry coat. I wear here, for example, a trench coat by Calvin Klein.
The best thing about a trench coat is, that you simply can wear it to everything.
Are you also such a trench coat fan like me? How do you like trench coats?
