Make special gift wrapping for your Christmas present yourself with ease<\/p>\n

the year is drawing to a close, and Christmas is approaching its end, sooner than expected. Just a few more weeks ... and there we are. The so contemplative time is anything but contemplative for you, because the buying of gifts is again becoming stressful.<\/p>\n

You don't want to give your loved one anything, no, it should be something very special!<\/p>\n

My motto<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buying a part, making a part yourself = the perfect Christmas gift - mix<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But how are you supposed to come up with a DIY gift in no time? And most importantly, when are you supposed to make this gift? In fact, you're like most people - you're happy if you have all the presents in time...<\/p>\n

How about a slightly different DIY \"Christmas present\"?<\/h2>\n

Nothing is more beautiful than seeing the decorated tree with all the wonderfully wrapped gifts underneath. Often I am even more pleased about all the time and effort that someone has invested to make my own gift wrapping than about the actual gift. Well, okay, I'm a packaging lover anyway. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

So how about a very personal, very special gift packaging? How about this year - for the selfmade part - making the gift wrappings yourself and putting a smile on the lips of your loved ones? You'll have to wrap the presents anyway. So why not invest a few more minutes and give double joy?<\/p>\n

You feel like it? Then I have 3 ideas how you can make your very own personal gift packaging with Pilot Pen.<\/p>\n

Let's wrap it!<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Make your own gift packaging - Labelling<\/h3>\n

Instead of a boring card, you can write your wishes directly on paper. How about a cool Merry Christmas writing?<\/p>\n

Well, if it were that simple. On Pinterest I see all these wonderful letters every day, and so I fell in love with the elegant typefaces. With such a font, the gift wrapping becomes something very special.<\/p>\n

The only problem: When I try to type, the typeface doesn't look very nice. I certainly don't want to give it away!<\/p>\n

You feel the same way? Then here's a step-by-step guide for you:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Create a template in Word or print my printables<\/li>\n
  • Move the outer lines of the letters with the cutter in a proper direction<\/li>\n
  • Wrap your gift so that you know where you need the font<\/li>\n
  • Put your stencil on your wrapping paper and follow the outer lines with the Pilot Pen<\/li>\n
  • Paint your artwork with a matching Pilot Pen or simply let it look simple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Your very special gift wrap is ready. Now you can decorate the gift with a ribbon and apply a label.<\/p>\n

    2. Make your own gift packaging - Paper<\/h3>\n

    A single lettering is not enough for you? No problem! How about a completely self-designed gift wrap. Spread the paper in front of you and let yourself out. From geometric shapes, to stars and dots to Christmas trees, everything is allowed.<\/p>\n

    Whether monochrome or completely colorful - thanks to the Pilot Pens no wish remains unfulfilled. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

    You better make a little more paper. Not that it's not enough for you and that your gift can't be wrapped up completely. Here, too, some decoration adds something extra.<\/p>\n

    3. Make your own gift packaging - Labels<\/h3>\n

    How do your loved ones on Christmas Eve really know who owns which gift? And how can you remember that? As long as the gifts are in my closet, Post-It's gonna be enough... but under the Christmas tree? Certainly not!<\/p>\n

    That's why I decided last year to put labels on my gifts. Yes, good thought, but anything but easy to implement. Perfectionist as I am, I wanted to have pendants that fit perfectly with the present. As you might have guessed, there's no such labels to buy... so here we go.<\/p>\n

    There are two options for labelling:<\/p>\n

    a) make your own small trailers
    \nb) simply paint the tags on your gift wrapping paper<\/p>\n

    For both options, you can simply download my freebies and paint them either on an extra piece of gift wrapping paper or directly on your packaging with the appropriate Pilot Pen.<\/p>\n

    If a) is possible, you can reinforce the gift wrap paper on the back with a matching cardboard box.<\/p>\n

    Make your own gift packaging - Your shopping list<\/h2>\n

    You like my 3 ideas and you want to make your own gift wrapping this Christmas? Then here's your ultimate 7-point-shopping-list. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

    1. different pens you love, e. g. Pilot Pen
    \nFrom gel pens to metallic pens, everything is allowed. Let your creativity run wild.<\/p>\n

    2. plain gift wrap paper without gloss
    \nTo make sure your designs look good and don't smudge, you should use matt paper.<\/p>\n

    3. Tesa or Washitape to keep everything in place
    \nSo that your packaging doesn't open up before the presents arrive, everything has to be fixed.<\/p>\n

    4. different gift ribbons
    \nDifferent gift ribbons provide for a 3D effect and that certain extra.<\/p>\n

    5. some small stuff
    \nFor the perfect packaging you need pencils, a ruler and a cutter.<\/p>\n

    6. free printables
    \nIf you are not a lettering artist like me, you can simply print out my templates<\/p>\n

    7. much love and some time
    \nTo make the gift packaging something very special, it takes a lot of love and of course some time.<\/p>\n
