Hi Unique,
Imagine it is a day like every other. Your alarm clock rings and you try to turn it off sleepy. Again one of those days. There is so much to do and you do not know how to manage everything. Already in your bed comes this feeling of stress. Slowly it builds up and pushes you out of bed. Your day starts at the double. From one appointment to the next, as soon as a task is done, 3 new ones are already accumulating. In the evening you fall tired on the couch. And there comes this advertising on TV – Wellness! Oh, yes, that’s it.
With all the everyday stress, we often forget how important it is to have time for yourself, how important it is to have a time-out from time to time. At home it is often not possible, because the temptation to do just deal with something shortly is usually too big. Then the laptop is next to you and you check only briefly the mails. But then it takes always a lot more time as expected.
Time out from home
So that you can relax again, it is best to drive away. Only in this way can one escape old patterns and everyday life. Since you are not likely to be on holiday all the time, a weekend getaway in a wellness hotel near you is perfect. So you only have a short journey and still the whole weekend is left for relaxing.
I live, as you know, in Munich. So for me, for example, the Tegernsee offers good possibilities – it is close and alone the journey has a calming effect on me. You get closer to the mountains and nature around you is beautiful.
Relax in Bachmair Weissach
When looking for wonderful hotels I finally came across the Hotel Bachmair Weissach. This boutique hotel is a mixture of luxury, elegance and a lot of Bavarian warmth. This creates a “home feeling” after only a short time.
#The arrival
After a 45 minute drive we did already arrive. Full of anticipation, we enter the lobby and are sincerely welcomed. With a sparkling wine under the huge chandelier begins a beautiful and especially relaxed weekend. Every day is full of small moments of happiness and I am always surprised and excited again and again.
#The room
After this warm welcome, we go to our room to unpack. Of course I took you on my instagram story, but for all who did not see it: The room is great. It is not only huge, but also has a walk-in closet;) Which woman does not dream of it?
Also the bathroom is very nice, classic in black and white. With great attention to detail, the room is even more comfortable. The combination of rustic wood in the bedroom and the modern design in the bathroom reflects the mixture of Bavarian and modern perfectly.
Many of the materials used come from the region, such as Tegernseer Schilfleinen, which was used, among other things, for the curtains and the striking cabinets. This gives each room a special and regional touch.
#DerSPA
Already in the room spreads this very special feeling – relaxation. Free of tasks, obligations and my annoying alarm clock. But then, as the fluffy bathrobe nestles around my shoulders, I notice how slowly my muscles relax and I have really arrived. A weekend of sleeping long, reading and delicious food – simply fantastic.
Full of anticipation, we make our way to the wellness area. The light is dimmed and spreads a pleasant atmosphere. There is also the combination of wood and simple elegance that makes the wellness area perfect. I lay down on the thick, soft sun lounger and realize that here you can definitely let your mind go.
Curious as I am, I have to look around first, of course. So I stroll off and discover next to a sauna also a steam bath in which you can make a honey peeling. In addition, I also find a large pool in which I swim a few lanes. Fortunately for us, the weather was so good that we could even sunbathe outside.
You already see how much I swarm, but the wellness area is soon becoming even better. From mid-June on you can enjoy SPA there in Japanese. Some pictures of the new Mizu Onsen wellness area you can already see on the website. I am really looking forward to explore this new area * _ *
#The massage
In addition to all the relaxation in the SPA, I can now even enjoy a 30-minute back massage. The nice staff explains to me during the soothing massage exactly what and why they do something. Also, there were even a few tips for more relaxing at home. Only natural and high-quality oils from certified suppliers are used for the massages. This way, the skin is still cultivated long after the massage.
I as a massage lover could not better relax and just enjoy.
#The food
Since wellness is so exhausting, one must of course strengthen itself. : D Here the Bachmair Weissach could convince me also on the whole line.
In addition to the cozy “Stubn”, there is also the Japanese Mizu Sushi Bar to choose from. While the “Stuben” reinvents Bavarian delicacies, the Mizu Suhsi Bar offers exclusive Japanese treats. So the combination of Bavarian and modern even goes through the food.
But not only the dinner, but also the breakfast buffet was excellent. Here everyone will definitely find something, because lactose-free milk, gluten-free bread and vegan butter are included standard here. Next to the buffet there is also a small menu. Fresh pancakes, delicious egg dishes and freshly squeezed juices make the breakfast perfect. Feasting is definitely allowed.
So I can start with new power again into the new day.
#Extras
Is a whole day in the wellness too boring for you? Then borrow a Vespa or a bike and explore the area. Or how about looking behind the scenes? During a guided tour through the cheese factory, you can see where the cheese comes from that is served at the breakfast buffet and how it is made.
#The departure
Somehow I feel the time there passes away differently. Some people claim the time at Lake Tegernsee simply goes a little slower, but nevertheless the time at Bachmair Weissach has gone by far too fast. But so I could start on Monday again fully motivated and relaxed in the new week and who knows maybe I will return soon;)
