Hi Uniques,
he belongs in the room of every beauty queen! All girls want him, as soon as they know their Barbie has him too – the makeup table.
My makeup table is one of my absolute favorites in my room, because I try not only new hairstyles, nail polish or make-up – no, here I just have time for me. I listen to the music, enjoy the time before the mirror and yes, sometimes feel like a little princess.
Order is half of life!
It’s stressful in the morning! You savor every minute in bed, and then you must hurry. Clean your teeth, pack your bags and put on the make-up. There is no time for long searching and cleaning up. For this reason, my dressing table has regularly looked as if a bomb had hit. So painting one face is just no fun! Therefore, a solution had to be found.
Said and done! Last weekend, I finally started to clear out my makeup table, cleaned it and stocked it up again.
However, I have thought of an order system. So that you can arrange all your makeup things quick and easy, I have today a few tips for you.
In principle, there are of course two possibilities: either you are digging everything neatly into drawers or you present your products on the table. I chose a mix. Things that I need often and quickly are on the table, everything else is in the drawers.
#1 The brushesIt is probably the classic and surely you have seen it many times. For a stylish brush holder you just fill decoration granules into a container, put the brushes with the handle there purely and already they are well stowed. You can also arrange them according to your wishes – e.g. rather handy or more decorative … In the case of granules, I have chosen here for a glass cylinder and small mirror flakes from Ikea. #2 Daily ProductsSo that the table is not so empty, I have two more storage boxes, which are specially designed for cosmetics. Of course these boxes are available not only in white but in many different colors. Also the shapes vary as you can see. Here I stored my Daily Products. A really cool and decorative idea you can find by the way here
#3 The nail polishYes, nail polish is also such a thing in itself. The problem is that I honestly have never used up a nail polish. The only reason for throwing it away was the drying out. This is why a lot has accumulated here too. So that I can find the colors better, I have sorted the paints by color – from clear lacquer over black over wine red to pink to blue and green. However, if you have more space, you can use a small shelf or a transparent storage, so you can recognize the colors at first glance. #4 The restWith the time there really piles up a lot … 😉 if you clean out your makeup things you realize only then, what a lot of stuff you got. When I finished my dressing table, I was really amazed, what was hidden in the big drawers 😀 That’s why I bought small Ikea boxes to sort and separate everything better. This was by the way a four in one pack with 3 small and a large box. |
Dressing table Quick-Tips
Since to a perfect dressing table also belongs a lot more, I have now 5 quick Tips:
#1 The mirrorMakeup without mirror? Some may do it, but I definitely don’t: D Therefore, I chose a large mirror. In order to see details better, it is also good to have a magnifying mirror. #2 The lightIn the dark you cannot make very good make-up. 😀 However, the room light is also not so suitable, because it creates light shadows on the face. Thus, the make-up becomes uneven and stained. So that this doesn’t happen, there is my Beautylight, which illuminates your face perfectly.
#3 The chairSo that you can use your new, great make-up table also comfortably, you should put a practical but also comfortable chair to it. Of course you also have to make sure that the chair still fits under your dressing table. #4 The decorationThe main “decoration” on your make-up table are, of course, your make-up favorites, but a few flowers cannot hurt either. I am looking forward to see the flowers every morning – so I can start the day much better. However, here you see artificial flowers which stay beautiful for a very long time: D #5 The wallYes, you read correctly! Also the wall behind your dressing table belongs to your table. For example, I’ve chosen a pink glitter wall to make the Princess dream come true. |
