The Rieser – Relaxed in the New Year

Today is the last day of my two week vacation and as its always the case, one could easily have another two weeks off;)
After the great Gatsby Party, I started the new year relaxed and spent the last days in a wonderful hotel at the Achensee. I’ve already taken you on my Instagram story and showed some parts of the hotel. If you missed it – no problem, because here is already the post to it.

The Rieser

The Rieser is a 4 star superior wellness hotel at the Achensee in Tyrol, only two hours from Munich. In addition to wellness, relaxation and fitness, the hotel also offers very delicious food. The Rieser is one of the oldest hotels in Pertisau at the Achensee, as in 1952 there were the first guest rooms. Nevertheless, the hotel is anything but “old”. The age is hardly visible to the house, because there are constantly renovations and improvements. Thus, e.g. Only 2012 the sauna area was extended and renovated.

Wellness – pure relaxation

The new wellness area leaves nothing to be desired. According to the motto “Get out of the daily routine, purely into the recreation” there is a large range of massages and saunas.

The sauna retreat

As soon as one enters the sauna area the relaxation already begins. The modern yet cozy interior invites you to leave everyday life behind you. From the hot stone pine sauna (90 degrees) to the medium-temperature bio sauna (60 degrees) to the cooler tepidarium (40 degrees), everything can be found. If you prefer steam baths, you can also choose between a normal and a saltwater steam bath. Last but not least there is also an infrared cabin, which I used often after the sport.
In order to rest between the sauna rounds, there are 3 relaxation rooms, where you also have a wide choice: water beds, hanging baskets or rather thick cushioned beach chairs? 😉 Of course you can also change several times a day, because the sauna area despite the holidays never has been overcrowded.
Yes, and that is not all that the sauna retreat has to offer. There is also a small highlight: dried fruits, nuts and water are always available. The tap water can even be refined by various syrups and tastes at least I liked it this way much better – drinking is important;)

The massage center

The Rieser also offers a wide range of massages and beauty treatments. Here you have probably best to test yourself – I was definitely inspired by the massages;)

The pool

Finally, you can also use the large swimming pool, which also has an outdoor area. Since it was extremely cold you could not swim very long outside, but admire the snow-capped Alps panorama. 😉
In the summer there is even a huge organic bathing pond.

Living and eating

You can feel good not only in the wellness area, but also in the rooms. I like the mixture of modern elements and comfort.
The food you have maybe already seen on Instagram – simply delicious. Already the breakfast convinces with the big buffets rich choice. There is almost always food available, because the breakfast follows the lunch and the cake time. Already at breakfast, you can choose between two evening menus, with always a fish, a meat and a vegetarian dish to choose from. Great is also that you can even mix the individual courses of the different menus.
You can see, no matter in which area, the Rieser convinces with its variety and invites you to leave the everyday life simply behind you.
